Hi Gang!
Well, Bailey is off exploring some of the pastures so I thought I would take a break from munching and post a note. I'd like to share a story with you about my arrival here in Texas. It was a long ride from Naples to here, but it was worth every bump in the road! We made several stops along the way, took water breaks, and even got snacks! We arrived safely in TX and came out of the trailer to green pastures, lots of friends, and all kinds of places to explore.
I was so excited when I first arrived here. We are placed in families based on our age, how we behave with the other horses, our medical needs, and so on. Each family becomes each own little herd and stays together while on the retirement ranch. Occasionally, a horse will move to a different family if his or her needs change along the way. Bailey and I are in a family with several other wonderful horses. We all get along really well and look out for one another.
Now, being the nosey gal that I am, I just couldn't contain myself to my assigned area of the pasture. So, while ranch staff wasn't looking I let myself out the gate and managed to wander several pastures down into another family! I was so proud of myself for getting those gates open---all 3 of them! Hee, hee--I'm such a stinker, but I had the BEST time exploring!
Eventually, the staff caught on that I went for a stroll and brought me back to my family and Bailey! I hope my little adventure brought you a smile or two! Thanks for looking in on us!
Love,
Sis
